The Riggen Block – where modern architecture meets seaside living
In the growing residential area of Lomma Strandstad, we at Pekko have been involved in the exciting Riggen project – a residential block where modern architecture meets a coastal lifestyle. We’re proud to have contributed to a development that not only adds quality to the area but also offers future-proof living in one of Skåne’s most attractive locations.
Riggen comprises 96 new homes, with a strong focus on bright, open spaces and sustainable materials. The apartments range in size from compact two-room units of 40 sqm to exclusive penthouse apartments of up to 154 sqm – many featuring generous balconies or private patios. The first move-in is planned for August 2024.
The block rises between Kanaltorget and Hamnallén, right in the heart of Lomma Strandstad – a place where city life meets the sea. Here, residents can choose from south-facing apartments with balconies to top-floor units with sweeping views, as well as 17 elegant three-story townhouses with private street-level entrances and garden patios facing the green inner courtyard.
A key part of the project’s structure is the parking deck, where Peikko has supplied DELTABEAM®. These beams play a central role and have enabled the creation of a slim floor structure with low building heights, while allowing for large, open spaces thanks to the reduced need for columns. This not only ensures a more efficient use of space but also provides greater flexibility for future adaptations. DELTABEAM® is especially valued in projects where a combination of aesthetics, functionality, and fast construction time is essential – something that proved highly beneficial in this development.
The Riggen project is developed by JM, with a focus on well-planned apartments and family-friendly homes offering a high quality of life – all within walking distance of the marina, restaurants, shops, schools – and, of course, the sea.
