Peikko’s DELTABEAM® Slim Floor Structure Chosen for Office Building in Poland

Peikko’s DELTABEAM® Slim Floor Structure has been chosen to the construction of the fourth office building of Silesia Business Park project located in Katowice, Poland. The previous three buildings of the project have already been constructed using DELTABEAM®. The current order comprises DELTABEAM® Composite Beams and hidden PCs® Corbels. The deliveries are starting in May and will end in October 2017. Silesia Business Park is estimated to be completed in 2018.

The developer of the business park is Skanska Property Poland z.o.o., and the main contractor is Skanska S.A. The architectural design of the project was made by Medusa Group, and structural engineering by Statyk. Altogether these four Class A buildings consist of 48,000 m2 of office space. Each building has 12 floors and a two-story car park. The spaces have been designed to support creativity, openness, and the exchange of ideas. The buildings in Silesia Business Park meet the most rigorous quality, safety, and environment standards. They use 28% less energy and 40% less water than conventional office buildings. The business park buildings have LEED Gold certification.

The previous three office buildings of Silesia Business Park project have already been erected with Peikko’s solutions. The fact that we have been chosen as a supplier also for the fourth building shows the customer’s trust in Peikko and our solutions.
