Sales Engineer (UK)

2020 was a successful year for Peikko due to our exceptional culture, ambitions, and actions. We are now raising a bar even higher for our ambitious growth and are investing in our sales forces by hiring 50 new colleagues to our local sales teams in more than 20 countries during 2021.

Hence, to strengthen our sales team in UK, we are looking for a Sales Engineer

What is this job all about?

• Identifying and meeting potential new customers in UK, with primarily sales of DELTABEAM^®
• Developing new sales possibilities to grow revenue with new customers.
• Identifying customers’ needs to be able to provide Peikko’ s technical solutions.
• Active communication and technical support for structural engineers and main contractors
• Preparing, follow up, and negotiations of sales offers & contracts.
• Cooperation with internal Peikko customer engineers & product managers to ensure smooth service to customers.

What skills and qualities are we looking for?

• Good technical understanding (education and/or experience) related to construction/civil engineering.
• Sales experience in construction field and understanding of the market.
• Ability to build long term customer relationships.
• Experience in steel or precast structures would be a big advantage.
• Systematic and patient approach to the sales process – a blend between an active salesperson and account manager, who will not only be motivated by “closing the deal”, but also be patient in the long sales process and be close to the customer throughout a long term relationship.
• Proactive nature, ability to work independently and good cooperation skills.  
• Entrepreneurial mindset, desire for success and readiness to walk extra mile to achieve it.
• Fluent English.
